We're delighted to announce that our groups now have four new leaders starting with us on 13th February having completed their Leaders in Running Fitness courses - Sandra, Kathy-Jo, Fflur and Karen.

Powis Trail 10 2017

The Powis Trail 10 is returning for another year with chip timing and a new medal. The course explores the Powis Estate with some stunning views and varied terrain. Not one to be missed this popular race has a limited entry so get your name down today.

New beginners courses

On Monday 27th February new beginners courses will be starting in all 5 of our running venues. The course runs for 10 weeks and takes beginners from starting out to completing a 5k. Further information can be found on the beginners page or email your local group using the information on the contact page.

New venue - Bridgnorth

We are pleased to be able to offer a new group in Bridgnorth starting on Monday 27th February. The group will meet on a Monday night at 6pm at the Bridgnorth Leisure Centre

Daytime Dollies

We are pleased to be able to offer a daytime running group in Welshpool. The group runs at an 11-11:30 minute mile pace and meets at the COWSHACC for a 9:30 a.m. start. All runners are welcome to come along and join this session.

Welshpool - New Venue

With immediate effect we are changing our start venue to COWSHACC (the Scout Hut in the Poundland carpark). Registration will be held inside the hut (first door on the left) and we will gather outside or under the porch ready for the warm-up. Free car parking is available from 6pm.

It's a change but we think for the better: lots of parking and a good warm up area. If you are running with us please join us at COWSHACC. Please tell fellow Dollies.

Welshpool - Thursday Runs

We have been aware for a while that some people would like to join us but cannot run on a Monday and that some people would like to run more than once a week. We are now offering Thursday Night Dollies in Welshpool, meeting at the COWSHACC at 6pm.

As on a Monday there will be different groups to choose from to suit a variety of abilities. Subs will be the standard rate for those running just on the Thursday or a reduced rate of 1 for those ladies who also ran on the Monday in that week.

Come along and give our Thursdays a try too.

Powis Trail 10

Beautiful weather and an amazing turnout made the Powis Trail 10 a great success. Thank you to everyone who came along to run, support or marshal - we are very grateful to all who made the event so special. The results can be found here.

Dolly Mixtures running group is about more than just running. We'd like to see lots of people out running and getting the benefits from it that we do. But we are also about support, fun and making friends.

Here's a letter from someone we met recently - we wish him luck in his London Marathon bid. Some of us will be there and hopefully we will be able to spot you and give you a good cheer.

"If Carling made running clubs!

My name is Carl and recently received a donation from your running group in aid of my London Marathon 2015! And I wanted to thank each and every one of you for supporting me.

As a visually impaired runnier I want to thank you for your donation and wish each of your the best of luck and kindness in the future.

Thank you very much indeed."

~ Carl Baldwin (blind runner)
~ Helen Skelton (guide runner)

Happy running :)
